What we collect
- The birthday details you type in (date, town, a first name if you add one). They are used to build your issue and appear in its web address. We don't ask for last names.
- Your email address, if you unlock the full issue, together with the birthday and town of the issue you were reading.
- Your book choices, if you reserve a book: the birthday, the chapters, the cover, the number of copies, any dedication you write, and your email so we can tell you when ordering opens.
- Notes you send through the “Tell us” link, and an email address if you choose to leave one.
- Basic technical data our hosting provider logs for every website visit (such as IP address and browser type), used to keep the site running.
How we use it
- To show you the full issue and remember that you unlocked it (a single cookie on your device).
- To email you about Back in Our Day: stories from back in the day and news about our books. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time.
- To read your suggestions and reply if you asked us to.
We don't sell or rent your information.
Who helps us
The site is hosted by Vercel. Emails and signups are stored with Supabase and sent with MailerLite. Songs and trailers play from YouTube, which may set its own cookies when you press play. Each of these companies handles data under its own privacy policy.
Your choices
Unsubscribe from any email with the link at the bottom. To have your email address and signup deleted, send a note through the “Tell us” link at the bottom of any page with the email address to remove, and we'll delete it.
Children
Back in Our Day is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
